Electrical metal enclosures are protective cabinets or boxes designed to house electrical or electronic equipment, shielding them from environmental hazards and preventing electric shock. These enclosures are commonly constructed from robust materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, galvanized steel, or aluminum. They also help guard sensitive electronics against electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI).

At PES, we supply a wide range of mild steel enclosures, built to meet globally recognized standards such as IEC 62208 and IEC 61439-1/3, and tested to ensure durability and safe operation. These enclosures are designed as fully reversible cabinets with a double-fold edge that functions as a water barrier and gutter system. Each unit includes an earthing stud and drainage hole at the base to minimize condensation build-up.

Doors are reinforced with welded profiles for accessory mounting and equipped with concealed, removable hinges for quick assembly and disassembly. A continuous polyurethane gasket ensures a high degree of ingress protection. Cabinets 1000 mm in height or taller are fitted with standard three-point locking rods, with other locking mechanisms available upon request. Both single-door and double-door options are available with IP ratings of IP66 and IP55 respectively.

Finishes include corrosion-resistant RAL 7035 grey polyester powder coating or RAL 2008 orange epoxy powder coating, both UV-tolerant and durable. Terminal boxes with IP65 rating are also available in multiple sizes to suit various applications. Accessories include DIN rail inserts, document holders, lift-off knobs, ventilation louvres, and more.

In addition, we offer stainless steel enclosures and terminal boxes, ideal for demanding environments such as food processing and medical facilities, where hygiene and resistance to aggressive cleaning agents are critical. These enclosures are constructed from high-grade stainless steel 304 or 316, with smooth, easy-to-clean surfaces. IP66-rated sloped and flat roof variants are available with optional wall mounting brackets and standard stainless steel locks.

Additional features include IK08 mechanical impact resistance, 120° door opening, wide size ranges, and customization for special cutouts or dimensions. All stainless steel terminal boxes come equipped with accessories like wall brackets and fastening hardware.

We also provide pressure compensation accessories for cable management, including sealing washers, O-rings, flange locknuts, balance elements, and reduction fittings—ensuring complete protection for your electrical systems.
